ドイツレポート その２ Trip to Germany #2

11/17はベルリンの写真博物館でレクチャーでした。
まずはニュートンさんがお出迎え。

On the 17th November, we headed to the Museum of Photography and were welcomed by Mr. Newton.

この日はなんと１００名！集まりました。
We had 100 participants today.
レクチャー終了後、いろんな方が話しかけに来てくださいました。
A lot of people came over to talk to Homma after the lecture.

今日からいよいよホンマタカシによる日本の現代写真についてのレクチャーが始まります（昨日のレクチャーはホンマさん自身の作品についてだったので）。
会場はベルリン動物園のすぐ近くにある写真美術館のレクチャーホール。ヘルムート・ニュートン写真美術館が入っている建物の３Fです。今回は折良くドイツの現代写真がテーマのグループ展をやっていて、ホンマさんのレクチャー内容と対比して見ることができました。
昨日と比べると会場は広く、立派なところ。客層も学生だけでなく、写真家など社会人まで広がっていました。
日本の写真集をとりあげて内容を紹介するスライドショー部分ではホンマさんはあまり解説はせず、無音状態での上映が続くのですが真剣に見入っていたのが印象的でした。みんな熱心だなあ、と。
１８日はベルリンを離れ、デュッセルドルフへと向かいます。

Homma has started a lecture on Japanese Modern Photography today (yesterday the topic was on his work).
The venue was the lecture room on the 3rd floor of the Museum of Photography, just near Berlin Zoo, where Helmut Newton Foundation is. Coincidentally, a group exhibition on German Modern Photography was on. This enabled us to compare the modern photography from both countries.
The venue was much more spacious and nicer compared to the one from yesterday. The audience varied from students, photographers to office workers.
During the lecture, there was a part when Homma showed a slide show of Japanese photobooks in silence; I was impressed to see how engaged they all were.
On the 18th, we move on to Düsseldorf.
